Founder's Note

Growing up between Scotland and Pakistan, I fell in love with the confidence of western fashion and the artisanal hand of the east - but felt unseen by either. Mainstream design didn't account for someone who covers and the traditional modest labels just didn't feel like me. If modesty and style were a Venn diagram, the circles never seemed to meet in the middle and I was tired of being expected to pick a side.

I launched Dinara straight out of university in 2021 with zero experience. I learned on the job: in the fabric bazaars and at the unit, spending weeks getting a single pattern right. Years of running the brand taught me so much and I felt I needed a clean slate to rebuild my learnings on. I aim to make clothes for women like me - those who expect nuance and not to be rendered in the same dated image of what a woman who wears her values should look like.
